Douglas P. AndonianDirector/Producer Douglas P. Andonian was born, raised and schooled in the greater Boston area. Upon high school graduation he began a career in the automobile service and repair industry which had been of interest from the time he was able to speak. For some thirty two years prior to his retirement in 2002 Mr. Andonian owned and operated a service and repair garage on Boston’s North Shore.

An interest in boating and photography led Mr. Andonian to do extensive photographing of whales off the coast of Massachusetts. Having an insatiable desire since childhood to experience Africa, his passion for photography continued throughout southern Africa capturing stunning images of wildlife and the African bush during many journeys to the region. In 2004 Mr. Andonian established a gallery in Sedona, Arizona featuring his photography and related items collected while travelling throughout the continent. Mr. Andonian, his wife and two Labrador Retrievers currently maintain homes in Arkansas and Arizona and it is since his recent retirement that he made a conscious decision to embark upon a late career in filmmaking. The documentary format is his focus and subject matter pertaining to World War Two dominates a very busy schedule of work. The passion to write, the love of photography and an immense curiosity are the fuel for this director/producer’s desire to produce captivating films that tell a meaningful story.
